Who we are
We're the smile from across the room. We're a nod of encouragement. We're a hug from a close friend after a long day. We're here to say that we understand, we're listening, and we're here for you.
Pick-Me-Up knows how difficult life can be - whether it's school, relationships, or the way you feel about yourself - and that's why we're dedicated to bringing hope to everyone suffering from anxiety, depression, and chronic stress.

Our Story
We began as a team of passionate high school entrepreneurs from Northern Virginia who saw a widespread, common problem in our community.
In our area, over 60,000 students face depressive symptoms every year, and over one-third of the students reported experiencing high levels of stress at least once a month. In fact, 25% of individuals 18-25 experience mental illness nationwide and 57% of all students with diagnosable conditions don't seek treatment for fear of stigma.
With statistics like these, we knew it was time to start talking about mental health.
We're working hard to spread the message that mental health is just as important as physical health. We raise awareness, provide tools and information to help facilitate healthy coping, initiate proactive recovery, and end the stigma that prevents people from reaching out. We work closely with schools, lawmakers, psychologists, companies, and parents to help them understand stress, mental illness, and how they can support those affected by it. Each one of us at Pick-Me-Up has been there, so we're here to provide comfort, support, and reassurance during a hard time.
Pick-Me-Up now serves as a personal support system for people across the United States and we hope to achieve even more in the coming years. We exist to make a difference to anyone affected by depression, anxiety, stress, or negativity. We know things can get overwhelming, and that's why we're here for you, whenever you need us.
We'll help you understand stress and mental illness, and what it means for you. We'll help you fight stigma, break down barriers, and approach the subject with the people in your life.
